トロルドハウゲンとは、ノルウェーはベルゲンにあるグリーグの家の名称です。ユーモラスで楽しげな雰囲気漂う序盤の音楽は、平和的かつ美しい中間部を経て繰り返されます。5分ほどの本曲は、派手ではありませんが、暖かく情緒あふれる婚礼の一日の幸せを見事に表現しています。金管十一重奏版です。
